Open Calls
Call for Symposia/Workshops
Currently, we are requesting proposals for pre-conference symposia and workshops within the research themes of ICPMF12. Researchers are strongly encouraged to convene and submit their proposals on hot topics such as: new applications of predictive modelling, novel modelling methods, omics in QMRA or interdisciplinary approaches.
The brief proposal (no more than 2 pages) should comprise:
- Title of the Symposium/Workshop
- Main contact person
- List of symposium speakers or workshop tutors
- Justification and Objective
- Program of the Symposium/Workshop (for symposia, the duration should be aimed at 1½ hour duration, while for workshops up to 3 hours; consider a 20 min coffee break in the program)
- Requisites for attendees, if any
Deadline for proposals: September 30, 2022
Selection of proposals: November 4, 2022

Useful information
1. Official Language
Abstracts must be written in English, as it is the only official language of the Conference.
2. Submission of Abstracts and Topics
Abstracts can only be submitted through the Conference website, and should deal with at least one of following ICPMF12 themes:
- Predictive modelling in food quality and safety (for instance, shelf life, safe recipes, documentation of food safety, etc.)
- Predictive modelling in innovative food processing and preservation technologies
- Innovative approaches for ensuring safety of traditional foods
- Predictive mycology
- Advances in risk assessment methods and tools (for instance, QRA models, sampling plans)
- Integration of omics techniques with predictive modelling and QMRA
- Novel models of microbial dynamics and interactions in food
- Individual cell and whole cell modelling
- Integration of predictive modelling in simulation and optimisation of food processes
- Application of predictive modelling in life cycle assessment
- Advances in software and databases tools
- Meta-analysis protocols and applications
For oral communications and posters, an abstract should be prepared. The abstract should include: Title, Authors indicating presenting author, Affiliation, Keywords (3-5 words) and Main Text. The Main Text should summarize in separate paragraphs: Introduction, methodology, results, conclusions and relevance. The maximum length of the main text is 350 words, excluding spaces. Only abstracts submitted through the online form will be considered. Abstracts will be reviewed by two members of the International Scientific Committee.
For abstract acceptance, at least one of the authors must be registered in the Conference. A maximum of two abstracts can be presented by a registered participant.

Sponsoring ICPMF12
Partners and sponsors can make possible an enhanced experience for all ICPMF12 delegates, while increasing exposure to their target audience. Companies providing products, services and solutions in food safety, microbiology and biotechnology are welcome to join ICPMF12 as partners or sponsors. Through the support provided by our partners and sponsors, ICPMF12 will be able to offer attendees additional amenities throughout the conference that might not otherwise be made available.
