It takes 10-15 h flight from Europe, North America, and Oceania to Sapporo (New Chitose Airport). Much longer time over 20 h flight would take from south America. Although transition may require via Tokyo/Osaka to Sapporo from Europe, Oceania, and North and south America, it would be easy to get to Sapporo by domestic flight (1 h) because there are many flights to Sapporo (70 flights per day from Tokyo).
