Information for Chairs and Speakers

Presentation Format and Time Allocation

  • Oral Presentation: 5 minutes presentation, 3 minutes Q & A
  • At the oral presentation venues, a timer system is installed at the chair’s desk and the podium. A yellow light will turn on one minute before the presentation time ends, and a red light when it ends.

For Presenters

  • All presenters must disclose any Conflict of Interest (COI), regardless of their existence. Please disclose COI information on the second slide (following the title slide).
  • A sample COI disclosure slide is available on the congress website for download and use.

Instructions for Oral Presenters

Please check in at the PC Center for data submission and confirmation at least 30 minutes before your session begins. This also serves as presenter registration, so please be sure to come.

  1. If there is a change of the presenter, please inform the PC Center staff.
  2. Please note that the data cannot be revised or edited at the PC Center.
  3. After the data submission, please arrive at your assigned venue at least 10 minutes before the session begins. The next presenter, please sit in the “Next Presenter Seat” at the front left of the venue.
  4. All presentations will be PC presentations using Power Point.
  5. The Presenter Tool in Power Point cannot be used.
  6. Please prepare presentation data in widescreen format (16:9).
  7. The podium is equipped with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse (no computer unit). Please operate your slides by yourself.
  8. Presentation data will only be used for this congress and will be securely deleted by the secretariat after the event.
  9. Regarding Presentation Data
    • Presentation data must be saved in Windows 10, PowerPoint 2013 or later.
    • Only standard fonts installed in PowerPoint may be used.
    • You can use Windows Media Player 12 to view videos. If you plan to use it, we recommend bringing your own computer.
    • Please name your file as “Presentation Number + Presenter Name”.
  10. Macintosh users, please bring your own computer.
【For Those Bringing Media】
  1. Please save your presentation data on a USB flash drive and bring it with you. Media other than USB flash drives will not be accepted.
  2. After saving your presentation data on a USB flash drive, please confirm that it opens correctly on other PCs.
  3. Do not store any files other than the presentation data on your USB flash drive.
  4. You can use Windows Media Player 12 to view videos. If you plan to use it, we recommend bringing your own computer.
  5. Macintosh users, please bring your own computers.
【For Those Bringing Their Own Computer】
  1. Please check in at the PC Center for data verification.
  2. Please note that the Presenter Tool in PowerPoint cannot be used.
  3. You cannot place your own computer on the podium during the presentation (it will be connected from the PC operator’s desk).
  4. Please save your presentation data on the desktop of your computer.
  5. We recommend to bring backup data on a USB flash drive.
  6. Connection will be via HDMI. For Macintosh or some Windows computers, a conversion adapter is required -please be sure to bring one. Devices without external output cannot be used. Connections other than HDMI, such as D-sub 15-pin (mini), Mini Display Port, or USB Type-C, are not supported.
  7. Please be sure to bring your AC adapter.
  8. Disable screen savers, password settings, and power-saving functions in advance.
  9. After registration, please bring your computer by yourself to the PC operator’s desk next to the podium inside the venue. Ensure your presentation file is open and bring your computer to the desk three presentations before your turn. We cannot accept computers earlier than that. After your presentation, please be sure to pick up your computers at the PC operator’s desk.
